“Who are you?” \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Seems like an innocent enough question, but it’s actually pretty tough- especially when you have to do it in only a couple words. \u00a0I’ve been trying to answer that myself lately and got the answer in the most unexpected place. \u00a0But first, a couple recent attempts:<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

#1 I was challenged at work to describe myself in one word. \u00a0After flailing for several minutes I settled on “goofy”. \u00a0I wasn’t thrilled with that answer, especially since WAS a work exercise. \u00a0For the record the runner up words were “honest” and caring”. \u00a0I fit all of those, but I don’t think any of them give the complete picture.<\/span><\/p>\n

#2 I joined a group called the North Iowa Bloggers. \u00a0I’ve been aware of this group for some time but wasn’t sure if it would be a good fit for me since I don’t blog full time- this blog is just a fun little hobby of mine. \u00a0I haven’t met everyone yet, but the ones I have have been super fun so I’m feeling great about joining the group even though “blogger” isn’t one of the top words I’d use to describe myself. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Then yesterday the oddest thing happened- I happened upon a Facebook quiz. \u00a0These things are everywhere and usually about as useful as an electric pineapple. \u00a0But, I’m not above some mindless entertainment, so I took the quiz titled “What Stands Out about You?” \u00a0with zero expectations. \u00a0My answer at the end? \u00a0Genuine. \u00a0The more I thought about it the more I liked it.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

I think this is my word. \u00a0I wear my heart on my sleeve. \u00a0I’m a terrible liar. \u00a0I laugh loud and hard when something is funny. \u00a0 I’m loyal to a fault. \u00a0I’m not planning on going on a job interview anytime soon, but at least I’ll have one answer ready for the next one.<\/span><\/div>\n
