I am a pretty open book, both on my blog and in real life, \u00a0I wear my heart on my sleeve and can’t lie my way out of a wet paper sack. \u00a0But there are a few nooks and crannies in my life that have flown under the radar. \u00a0Things like (in no particular order):<\/p>\n
#1 I had a nightlight until I was 34 and I’m still afraid of the dark. \u00a0My childhood bedroom faced a yard light so I had a thousand watt nightlight every night.<\/p>\n
#2 Little people freak me out. \u00a0I blame it on being so tall- don’t know if that’s really it or not, but they just make me very uncomfortable.<\/p>\n
#3 My first concert? \u00a0Sheena Easton with opening act Michael Damian at the Minnesota State Fair in 1989.<\/p>\n
#4 When I graduated from high school I planned on becoming a pediatrician.<\/p>\n
#5 I hate reality TV, with the one exception of Dancing with the Stars, which I freely admit is a very silly show. \u00a0I’ve never watched a full episode of Survivor, the Amazing Race, the Bachelor, or any of their cousins. \u00a0The only two episodes of American Idol I ever watched all the way through were the two where Jon Bon Jovi was the celebrity mentor.<\/p>\n
#6 I starting watching NFL football in college to spend more time with a guy I was interested in. \u00a0Before that I was a basketball chick. That guy is now my ex-husband, and he and I are still in a Fantasy Football League together and very good friends.<\/p>\n
#7 I was a shy and somber child. \u00a0I have witnesses to prove it.<\/p>\n
#8 I have an unhealthy obsession with the TV show Who’s Line Is it Anyway. \u00a0I love the Drew Carey seasons, the Aisha Tyler seasons, and have even watched most of the original British episodes- many of which did feature Ryan Stiles and\/ or Colin Mochrie,<\/p>\n
#9 I have never seen any of these movies: \u00a0Jaws, Frozen, Iron Man (any of them), \u00a0Harry Potter (any of them), Hunger Games (any of them).<\/p>\n
10# I hate broccoli. \u00a0I’ve tried it raw, cooked, covered in cheese, just about any way you can imagine. \u00a0It all smells like farts and tastes worse.<\/p>\n
