The time for sugar-coating is over. \u00a0In light of recent events its high time to just come out and say it- President Donald Trump has no idea what he is doing and the entire world could pay for it.<\/p>\n
Now to be clear, I am not blaming the folks who voted for Trump for his inability to be a President. \u00a0Full disclosure- I didn’t vote for him. \u00a0But. \u00a0I had hoped that once in office he would take the job seriously and conduct himself in keeping with the title bestowed on him. I thought he would be able to get things done and that maybe his being an “outsider” would be a good thing for this nation. I believe that people who voted for him did so in good faith and I don’t think anyone could have predicted the twittering train wreck this administration has become, nor how quickly it has\u00a0descended into chaos.<\/p>\n
In case you have been living under a rock here are a few examples from the past week alone that show how bad President Trump is at doing his job:<\/p>\n
#1 His statement after the horrific events at the “Unite the Right” (really a white supremacist\/ \/ KKK\/ Nazi) rally in Charlottesville VA. “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides”.<\/p>\n
ON MANY SIDES?? \u00a0A Neo Nazi drives into a group of peaceful counter demonstrators for the sole purpose of killing as many of them as possible and that’s the best he can do? \u00a0Keep in mind during the campaign it took him months to disavow the KKK and then when he finally did it, it was only in the flimsiest of ways. \u00a0I am not saying that Trump himself is a white supremacist, but he certainly doesn’t seem too eager to take a stand against them.<\/p>\n
#2 To date there has been no White House response to the bombing attack as a mosque in Minneapolis on August 5th. \u00a0The closest thing we have is a senior official stating that attack could have been a fake, set up by the left to make the right look bad.<\/p>\n
There is literally NO evidence to suggest this might be true. \u00a0None. \u00a0The FBI is treating it as a hate crime, but the President can’t bring himself to admit that violence against Muslims is just as bad as violence against any other Americans. \u00a0Nevermind that the far right doesn’t need anyone’s help to look bad, they are doing a fabulous job of that all by themselves.<\/p>\n
#3 The saber-rattling with North Korea. \u00a0Whether or not North Korea actually has missiles that can reach the US this is dangerous water to be treading.<\/p>\n
North Korea has a treaty with China that states that China will defend North Korea if they are attacked. \u00a0Just let that sink in for a minute. \u00a0I will admit I was not aware of that until this week, but I’m not the President of the United States. \u00a0To further prove how clueless Trump is, when he got wind that he was being criticized his statements he decided it was because he “hadn’t been strong enough”. \u00a0Even Fox News is having a hard time defending this new level of cluelessness.<\/p>\n
Again, I don’t blame the average citizens who voted for Trump. \u00a0He is a slick salesman and he sold a bill of goods to the American people. \u00a0My prayer now is that this nation, and this planet, will survive the effects of his reign of ridiculousness.<\/p>\n
