This week here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving.\u00a0 It’s a time for families to get together over what’s usually a comically large amount of food and take time to be thankful for all of our blessings.<\/p>\n
It’s a holiday full of rituals.\u00a0 For some it’s the breaking of the wishbone.\u00a0 For others it’s scouring the Black Friday ads.\u00a0 Some folks have a yearly touch football game in the afternoon.\u00a0 \u00a0Others have a special dessert or side dish that only is prepared once a year.\u00a0 There are folks who spend the day volunteering at shelters or churches. And some who just love catching up with cousins they rarely see.<\/p>\n
No matter what your family’s traditions look like, take a moment this year to really savor them.\u00a0 Take a moment to look around at the folks you share this meal with, whether they be family by blood or by choice\u00a0 Sure, you’ve likely had your disagreements with some- if not all- of them.\u00a0 But chances are these are some of the most important people in your life.\u00a0 Take a minute to really appreciate them.\u00a0 \u00a0The next 6 weeks are going to be a whirlwind of holiday shopping and planning and parties.\u00a0 Make Thanksgiving the day you sit back, relax, and simply count your blessings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
