My brain is all over the place even more so than normal, so it’s time for another “rapid fire” blog round.<\/p>\n

#1 \u00a0We are in the midst of engagement season. \u00a0While that makes me happy, it saddens me that there’s so much pressure on couples to have the “perfect” wedding, which usually means spending WAY too much money and creating Bridezillas.
\n\"\"<\/a>I submit that my wedding was perfect. \u00a0It took place at 3:45 on a Wednesday afternoon in a county courthouse. \u00a0We had 4 guests- my parents and 2 coworkers aka witnesses. \u00a0It took 15 minutes and cost $35.
\nI wasn’t worried about how my hair looked or if there would be any issues with seating at dinner or if the DJ would play my favorite song or anything at all. \u00a0I was 100% focused on the man in front of me and the promises we were making to each other. \u00a0If that isn’t perfect I don’t know what is.<\/p>\n

#2 I’m convinced curling was invented by very very bored and\/ or very very drunk Eskimos.<\/p>\n

#3 I’m sick of the cutesy Facebook posts that state in one way or another that a woman who is “high maintenance” or “difficult” is really just “strong”. \u00a0Ummm, no. \u00a0Truly strong women don’t need to stoop to those kinds of childish acts. If you are called “difficult” frequently you need to take a long, hard, honest look in the mirror.
\nI also have issues with the “bitch is a compliment” mentality. \u00a0I do understand the thought proces behind it, and I have dear friends who espouse it and that’s OK. \u00a0But lets face it- there ARE selfish, unpleasant and mean spirited women among us who quite frankly fit that word to a tee. \u00a0So, there’s no way in hell I’m going to use that same word to describe someone I like, even love, who is a decent human being with strong opinions.<\/p>\n

#4 Saying same sex marriage should be illegal because it’s against your religion puts you at odds with the First Amendment of the Constitution. \u00a0I find it odd that it’s mostly people who love to talk about their Constitutional rights are the ones who are so worried about this issue.<\/p>\n

#5 Valentine’s Day is this Friday. \u00a0Tell someone you love how much you love them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
