There are two kinds of people in this world, and they can be sorted easily by this simple phrase.\u00a0 \u00a0Don’t Panic.<\/p>\n
If you immediately think of anything other than a towel you are to be pitied, as you have clearly never read or listened to Douglas Adam’s classic “The Hitchkhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”.\u00a0 It was a radio show, a record series, a series of novels, and even a bad movie a few years back all about an Englishman named Arthur Dent and his accidental adventures once he meets an intergalactic hitchhiker.<\/p>\n
Admittedly it sounds less than thrilling based on my explanation, but it is the only book I have ever laughed out loud so hard reading that my family thought I was having some kind of medical emergency.\u00a0 If you enjoy Monty Python, Faulty Towers, or British humor in general it is a must read.\u00a0 If you like science fiction you should read it.\u00a0 If you like poking fun at “the establishment” you’ll enjoy it.\u00a0 If you have a sense of humor it’s for you.\u00a0 I cannot recommend it highly enough.<\/p>\n
Why am I mentioning this now?\u00a0 Because this week marks the 42nd anniversary of the series debut.\u00a0 Which is clearly the most perfect time of all.\u00a0 \u00a0If you don’t know why I say that, you will once you’ve read it.<\/p>\n
