Who else is sick of being home all the time???\u00a0 I know I am.\u00a0 \u00a0I understand why we’re doing it, it’s just getting old.<\/p>\n
Do you know what I’m even more sick of?\u00a0 \u00a0 Being told that I should be using this time to learn a new language, start enjoying opera, learn how to make 5 star worthy meals at home, or any of the other wildly ambitious goals I’m told I should have.<\/p>\n
Now, if you’ve always wanted to do one of those things, by all means do them!\u00a0 I’m not here to stomp on anyone’s dreams or goals for their own personal growth.\u00a0 But no one should be made to feel “less than” because these are not their desires, be it right now or ever.<\/p>\n
Some of us are still working full time, be it in person or remotely, or a combination of the two.\u00a0 Some of us have lost our jobs and are spending our time looking for ways to put food on the table.\u00a0 Some of us are dealing with distance learning or child care shortages on top of whatever else is already going on.<\/p>\n
Regardless of your situation, it’s important to understand we are all unique, and we are all dealing with this crazy spring in different ways.\u00a0 \u00a0Just because your neighbor or sister or best friend has learned macrame in their spare time doesn’t mean you have to.\u00a0 As long as you are still a functioning adult in whatever your situation, you are doing great.<\/p>\n
Now, if you are NOT functioning, please get help.\u00a0 Call your doctor.\u00a0 Call a support hotline.\u00a0 Call a good friend who can help you get pointed in the right direction.\u00a0 Please do NOT suffer in solitude!!<\/p>\n
But if you are doing OK but just not feeling like taking up pottery right now, that’s just fine.\u00a0 Don’t let someone’s cutesy Instagram\/ Facebook\/ Pinterest slogan ruin your day.\u00a0 You do YOU.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
