Especially this year, it’s important to honor great women in history.\u00a0 And today we honor Ada Lovelace.<\/p>\n
She was the daughter of the poet Lord Byron, but her interests were in the areas of science and math.\u00a0 Granted, this may be in part because her mother didn’t want her to become a poet and pushed these studies, but Ada excelled in them.<\/p>\n
Lovelace is best known for being the co-creator of the Analytical Machine, considered to be the precursor of the modern computer, with Charles Babbage.\u00a0 \u00a0She also wrote on the use of automation and advanced several areas of study within mathematics.\u00a0 Alas, her life was cut short and she passed from cancer at the young age of 36.<\/p>\n
