One of the things people ask me all the time is why I love the Food Network so much when I am by my own admission a terrible cook.<\/p>\n
There are a lot of reasons- I am a complicated creature.\u00a0 But here are the top 3.<\/p>\n
#1 They are a great way to decompress.\u00a0 Most people have at least one “guilty pleasure” show they watch to relax. You watch The Bachelor, I watch Chopped.\u00a0 While the cooking is going on I don’t have to worry about COVID.\u00a0 I don’t have to worry about Chinese balloons.\u00a0 I can just relax and enjoy some wholesome entertainment.<\/p>\n
#2 I have favorite chefs.\u00a0 There are a cast of regular chefs that appear on many shows.\u00a0 I love Alex Guaranaschelli.\u00a0 I love Guy Fieri.\u00a0 Much like we love to see our favorite actors in new shows, I like seeing my favorite chefs cooking, talking about cooking, and in cooking competitions.<\/p>\n
#3 I love learning new things.\u00a0 Even if I don’t actually follow along and cook what I see- and in fact I don’t even watch many cooking demo shows- I learn about new ingredients and new gadgets.\u00a0 I also love leaning about new chefs who may become one of my new favorites.<\/p>\n
