For reasons I am not getting into here, I recently ended a long term relationship.\u00a0 All the signs were there it was time to end things, but I agonized about it for a LONG time before I went through with it.\u00a0 But I finally tore the band-aid off and bit the bullet.<\/p>\n
I broke up with my hair stylist of 15 years.<\/p>\n
I made sure I told her her skills as a stylist were not as fault, but that it was just time that I moved on and I thanked her for everything.\u00a0 She took it very well – at least to my face.\u00a0 Of course I have no idea what she has thought and said after I left, but I can hold my head up knowing that I handled myself in a kind and mature manner.<\/p>\n
I hadn’t realized how HARD it would be until that exact moment.\u00a0 I had less guilt breaking up with my last boyfriend (before my husband of course).\u00a0 Not that I really thought my once every 5 week visits were keeping her in business, but I know that her business has declined some in recent years.\u00a0 \u00a0My husband is self-employed, and I work in sales, so I understand how important those long stating customer relationships are.\u00a0 But people change over time.\u00a0 Sometimes people grow closer when they change and sometimes they grow apart.\u00a0 This is the nature of human relationships of any time, be they personal or professional.<\/p>\n
I have had one appointment so far with a new stylist and I think things are going to work out well.\u00a0 Only time will tell.\u00a0 But I really hope it’s at least another 15 years before I have to go through with this again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
