Today is one day that all cat owners need to be reminded of- it’s Take Your Cat to the Vet Day.<\/p>\n
Cats are amazing at hiding when they are in pain and\/ or don’t feel good.\u00a0 They can get VERY sick before it’s obvious something is wrong.\u00a0 That’s why it’s important that your cat makes regular trips to the vet.\u00a0 If you have a good baseline it’s much easier to tell when something is wrong.<\/p>\n
True story- 22 years ago I took my cat Buddy in for routine shots.\u00a0 We discovered he had lost 2 lbs, which is a LOT for a cat.\u00a0 To be fair, he weight 22 lbs at one time, so he was a BIG cat.\u00a0 Turns out he had developed severe diabetes.\u00a0 Because we caught it pretty early I was able to get 4 more years good years with him.<\/p>\n
So even if your cats are 100% inside- which they should be!- regular trips to the vet are important.\u00a0 If it’s been a while, why not make the call and get that appointment scheduled today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
