Well, maybe not exactly.\u00a0 We need to celebrate the small stuff.<\/p>\n
The world is scary.\u00a0 There are conflicts between nations that threaten to bring the entire planet into war.\u00a0 Climate change is causing bigger natural disasters.\u00a0 Neo-Nazis are popping up all over the world.\u00a0 In the US there are many fears what the next four years will bring- even among many folks who voted for the angry tangerine.<\/p>\n
I’m not advocating burying your head in the sand.\u00a0 You can- and should- support causes you are passionate about.\u00a0 You should strive to do all the good that you can in all the places that you can as often as your can to paraphrase John Wesley.<\/p>\n
I’m promoting celebrating the little wins.\u00a0 The things it’s too easy to brush off as “no big deal”.\u00a0 Celebrate completing that big work project.\u00a0 Celebrate finding that perfect gift.\u00a0 Celebrate your cat’s birthday.\u00a0 Celebrate your team winning that game.\u00a0 Celebrate losing 5 lbs.\u00a0 Celebrate finding that missing glove.<\/p>\n
And perhaps even more important, celebrate the little wins in the folks around you!\u00a0 It’s easier for many of us to see those than to see what’s going on in our own lives, so we can all use reminders of the good stuff we overlook and\/ or downplay.<\/p>\n
So let’s celebrate the small stuff today and every day!<\/p>\n
