I’ve expressed my dislike with the whole “trad wife” social media trend before.\u00a0 You can read that here\u00a0 https:\/\/beckypalmer.me\/?p=4969<\/a>\u00a0if you missed it.<\/p>\n

I’m bringing this up again because I have recently started digging out some spring\/ summer clothing and that includes a few skirts and dresses.\u00a0 Last year before AND after my vacation to Miami I amassed more of these than I’ve had in probably 20 years and I can’t wait to wear them.<\/p>\n

I’m still just as much the goofy dork as I was last year.\u00a0 I’m still just as passionate on metal health awareness.\u00a0 I’m still just as focused on demanding equal rights for ALL humans, including the entire LGBT+ community.\u00a0 \u00a0I’m still a klutz.<\/p>\n

Embracing my feminine side doesn’t mean I’m any more demure or quiet or traditional than I was 2 years ago.\u00a0 If anything, I’ve found it makes me feel bolder and more confident to free my legs.\u00a0 And that is a REALLY big deal to me- someone who’s struggled with self-confidence her entire life.<\/p>\n

So in spite of what you see from a lot of women wearing dresses on social media, I have NOT turned into a shrinking violet or a trad wife in any sense of the word.\u00a0 I’ve just refreshed my wardrobe a little.<\/p>\n
