It takes a LOT of education to become a librarian.\u00a0 In many places a Masters Degree is required!\u00a0 And the average salary of a librarian is only $60K- not much at all for the amount of education required.\u00a0 So you know librarians are doing it for the love of it- no one’s getting rich doing this.<\/p>\n
Our libraries are a treasure.\u00a0 Where else can you find book on everything under the sun, help with finding a job or child care, book clubs, tons of educational programs for kids, and internet access, all for free?\u00a0 Nowhere!<\/p>\n
