One might think in the era of Google dictionaries are irrelevant.\u00a0 But you would be wrong.<\/p>\n
They are the best and most reliable source of the history of a language.<\/p>\n
They document the changes in a language.\u00a0 Did you know on average there are 1000 new words added to dictionaries every year?<\/p>\n
They are invaluable for anyone learning a second (or third or fourth or…) language.<\/p>\n
Maybe we don’t all have a hard copy of a dictionary on our bookshelves in 2025,\u00a0 but they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.<\/p>\n
