There are a lot of crazy myths out there.\u00a0 There are a couple categories that I see over and over again that really bug me.\u00a0 \u00a0 And they finally bugged me enough that I have to say something before I lose it.<\/p>\n
#1 NO ONE is putting Nair in shampoo bottles and making their roommates\/ former lovers\/ stepsisters\/ etc. go bald.<\/p>\n
How do I know this?\u00a0 Because I’ve used Nair.\u00a0 I used it years ago on my legs and I currently use it on and off for my bikini line.\u00a0 \u00a0And there are 2 things I can tell you about Nair that make these stories impossible.<\/p>\n
First, Nair smells to high heaven.\u00a0 Even the stuff they tout as their “best smelling” formulas are not subtle.\u00a0 My entire bathroom smells for some time after I use it.\u00a0 No one could miss the scent even if you had just woke up.\u00a0 \u00a0 Second, Nair takes time to work.\u00a0 At least 15 minutes to be exact.\u00a0 Even if you somehow had a roommate with no sense of smell no one is shampooing their hair for 15 to 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
#2 Eye creams are a scam.\u00a0 I have tried many different creams to fight the dark circles under my eyes.\u00a0 No one them have worked.\u00a0 I had found an article online about an eye cream that was supposed to be a miracle.\u00a0 \u00a0She had my attention, even though the cream was $68.\u00a0 The author ranted and raved about this amazing cream.\u00a0 At the end of the very long article she posted pictures.\u00a0 There was almost zero difference.\u00a0 I blew up the pictures.\u00a0 \u00a0I could still see no difference.\u00a0 At this point I realized that no eye cream, no matter the price tag, won’t fix my dark circles.\u00a0 So I’m back to the $8 stuff I used to use.<\/p>\n
