{"id":5441,"date":"2025-11-10T17:15:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T23:15:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beckypalmer.me\/?p=5441"},"modified":"2025-11-09T20:27:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T02:27:31","slug":"things-im-too-tired-to-care-about-anymore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beckypalmer.me\/?p=5441","title":{"rendered":"Things I&#8217;m Too Tired to Care About Anymore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m physically tired- it&#8217;s been a very good but very busy week and I&#8217;m still recovering.\u00a0 \u00a0I&#8217;m also mentally tired.\u00a0 \u00a0The government shut down has caused a sharp uptick in the political memes online which gets old fast, and just living in the shitstorm that is the US right now takes a lot of a person.\u00a0 \u00a0So the list of things I cannot be bothered with continues to grow.\u00a0 Here are some new additions to the list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anything related to Wicked.\u00a0 \u00a0I may be the only person on Earth who doesn&#8217;t care about that movie.\u00a0 Either one.<\/li>\n<li>NBA basketball.\u00a0 This isn&#8217;t 100% new, but for a long time at least I had a vague idea who the good teams were and \/ or who the top players were.\u00a0 Now?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think I can name 5 active NBA players and I&#8217;m fine with that.<\/li>\n<li>Most new music.\u00a0 I hear a list of nominees for New Artist of the Year and I had only heard of one of them.\u00a0 Oh well.\u00a0 Granted, I pretty much only listen to football talk this time of year, so many this one will change a little come February, but probably not.<\/li>\n<li>Makeup\/ skin care trends.\u00a0 I love ULTA\u00a0 of course, but when I Google skin beauty I&#8217;m looking for night creams with retinol or the best powder for middle aged skin (both recent searches of mine).\u00a0 \u00a0I can&#8217;t tell you if cat eyes are in or out.\u00a0 Not that I&#8217;ve ever drawn one on myself anyway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So that&#8217;s that.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to take a nap now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m physically tired- it&#8217;s been a very good but very busy week and I&#8217;m still recovering.\u00a0 \u00a0I&#8217;m also mentally tired.\u00a0 \u00a0The government shut down has caused a sharp uptick in the political memes online which gets old fast, and just living in the shitstorm that is the US right now takes a lot of a person.\u00a0 \u00a0So the list of&#8230;
