It’s been three years since we brought Oreo into our home.\u00a0 And nothing has been the same since.\u00a0 I used to refer to Lilly as our mayhem causing cat.\u00a0 And she was.\u00a0 But Oreo has now taken the crown.<\/p>\n
He has become a bit of a neighborhood star.\u00a0 He loves to lounge in our front window and the sheer number of people who tell me or Pat they saw him when they drove or walked by is kind of crazy.\u00a0 The pizza delivery guy knows to watch out for him (and Lilly) so he doesn’t sneak out into the front porch.\u00a0 Random people in Target will ask about him.<\/p>\n
Inside our home he’s kind of a big deal too.\u00a0 He’s a big boy.\u00a0 Not the least bit fat, but he’s long and tall and he has some weight to him- you have to put your knees into it to pick him up.\u00a0 Assuming he’s stood still long enough for you to snag him- which is not that often.\u00a0 He does still get the zoomies but thankfully it’s a lot more common at 8pm vs. 3am.<\/p>\n
He and Lilly are great friends most of the time.\u00a0 Even though he’s twice her size now Lilly can still pounce on him and knock him on his ass.\u00a0 And yes they still clean each other’s ears sometimes too.<\/p>\n
Oreo and Boots get along when no one is watching, but he still forgets several times a day that rough housing is not one of her love languages.\u00a0 \u00a0Sigh.<\/p>\n
Oreo is still exceptionally photogenic.\u00a0 And incredibly cute.\u00a0 It’s almost maddening- it can be really hard to scold him when he’s being the picture of adorable.\u00a0 He’s also a big ham. Anyone who comes by the house will see the most well behaved, charming cat known to man.\u00a0 He loves being the center of attention!<\/p>\n
He’s a goofball and a moron and sometimes a huge pain in the ass, but we love him to bits and couldn’t imagine life without him.\u00a0 Here’s to many more crazy years together!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
