Mashable was the first to proclaim today Global Social Media Day waaaay back in 2010\u00a0to mark the undeniably huge impact social media has on all of our lives. \u00a0As part of the celebration, they\u00a0encourage “meet-ups”, where folks could meet finally meet their online friends face to face. \u00a0 Since then, other platforms such as Twitter have also gotten on the bandwagon with “Tweet-ups” held around the world as well.<\/p>\n
