After I went to Miami a couple years ago I wrote about how I was bringing skirts and dresses back into my life: \u00a0https:\/\/beckypalmer.me\/?p=4957<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 Since then I’ve added more to my summer wardrobe rotation.\u00a0 \u00a0But there was still something missing most of the time.\u00a0 My knees.<\/p>\n

I have a medium sized scar under my right knee.\u00a0 I got it in 2020 – a skin reaction to an antibacterial used when that knee was scoped.\u00a0 \u00a0 But many years before that I’d removed my knees from public view most of the time.\u00a0 At some point I had decided that due to my age and\/ or size shorts were off the table and I was capris only for summer wear.\u00a0 \u00a0Even when I added skirts and dresses back in they were usually a similar length.\u00a0 My knees were off limits- at least when I was standing up.<\/p>\n

But then skorts came along and this summer even a pair of Bermuda shorts have entered the chat. And the sun kept rising in the east.\u00a0 The world didn’t scream in terror at the sight of my weird knee scar or even a hint of thigh!<\/p>\n

I’m not planning busting out Daisy Dukes or a miniskirt anytime soon.\u00a0 \u00a0But 2 years ago I didn’t think I would ever put on a pair of shorts again either, so I guess anything is possible.<\/p>\n
