Today is Veterans Day. Unlike Memorial Day, which is set aside to honor those who lost their lives in the line of service, Veterans Day is the day when we honor ALL veterans.
We all know a veteran. Maybe a parent or a grandparent. Maybe a classmate or a neighbor. Maybe a teacher or a coworker. Maybe all of the above. Regardless of how you know them, today is the day to tell them thank you.
Our country is very divided right now- maybe more now than at any time since the Civil War. But no matter how you feel about the current President and the many issues our country faces, we should ALL be able to be in agreement that the men and women who choose service to our country, for a few years or a lifetime, deserve our support and our gratitude every day. But most especially today.
