Happy Anniversary to me!

Today is me and my husband Pat’s 11th wedding anniversary.

Since I am over the age of 14 I don’t believe in “soul mates”, but if I did i would have to say he and I are pretty close to that.  We almost never fight, and when we do it’s usually over and done with quickly.  We like most of the same foods and many of the same TV shows.  We both love cats.  We aren’t jealous or suspicious of each other.   We make each other laugh all the time.  We respect each other.

Even the things we don’t have in common complement each other.  He’s even-tempered, I’m all over the place.  He’s a planner, I fly by the seat of my pants.  He’s self-employed, I have a 9 to 5 job with the benefits.  He is punctual, I’m usually rushing around at the last minute.  He loves Elvis and old-time country music, I’m obsessed with Bon Jovi and love 80’s music.  He uses one half of one shelf in the shower, I fill up the rest.

We had a long and twisted road to get to where we are today, but it was all worth it.
