Remembering Jason Slama

On January 18th one of my high school classmates passed away.  You can read Jason’s obituary here: http://obituaries.mankatofreepress.com/obituary/jason-slama-1971-2019-1072290048?fbclid=IwAR2K4ELNRef8g4WRHrkZdylfqTpWyASRYm2rAPey5O_pHZjvYsNXp4pIqNA

As some of you already know, my school consolidated with another school the summer before my senior year.  Because of that I only went to school with Jason for one year.   But I did have a couple of classes with him and got to know him a bit after high school as well.

He was a kind and gentle soul who always had a positive attitude in spite of his life long battles with a variety of illnesses.  He leaves behind a daughter, sister and parents along with a myriad of other family and friends.

Heaven’s gain is Earth’s loss.  Godspeed Jason and rest in peace.  You are finally free from all of your pain and we thank God for that.
