Today is Locate an Old Friend Day!
We all have one or two friends from “back in the day” we lost track of for one reason or another. Thanks to social media, a lot of those “lost folks” have been found again, but if you are still pining for your lab partner from junior year or whoever it might be, today is the perfect day to start looking for him or her.
Where to start? Social media is one option. Even if you can’t find the person you are looking for you can likely find a family member or mutual friend who might be able to point you in the right direction. You can try simply Googling their name, or try a site like White Pages. There are many specifically designed for this kind of thing, some free but many not. Or, if it’s a childhood friend, you can go old school and see if their parents are still alive and if so reach out to them.
