It’s been said since the dawn of time that men are simple and women are complicated.
But that’s really not true. Women aren’t complicated, men just aren’t very good at listening to them. Let me break it down for you.
#1 Women want full body autonomy. We want to be able to make our own decisions about our own bodies, with the help of our doctors when needed. We don’t want anyone else- male OR female- to tell us what medications we can take or what medical procedures we can have. We don’t want to be told who to have sex with or how often we should have it. And we certainly don’t want to be told whether or not we should have children.
#2 Women want to be treated as equals. Equal pay for equal work. Equal voices at the table and in the board room. Dress codes that don’t target us and/ or sexualize us. We want crimes against us to be prosecuted based on the facts of the case, and not victim shaming us. We want to be able to dress as we want without judgement. We want to pursue the hobbies and interests that really interest us, and not be told stupid shit like “girls don’t like football”.
#3 Women want clothing with functional pockets. The reason we take our purses everywhere is that half our pants/ skirts don’t have pockets at all, and half the ones that DO have pockets that are so small and/ or poorly designed they are essentially worthless.
See? Women aren’t so complicated, now are they?
