Well, not tomorrow!
But, my husband and I have decided that in 2026, to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, we are going to take a trip to Iceland. We have literally no details worked out beyond that. We don’t know when we are going, how long we’ll be gone, or have a list of things we want to do once we get there. Neither of us have passports or speak a word of Icelandic. Good thing we have 3 years to figure it out!
This came to be sort of by accident. I mentioned in passing that someday I want to go to Iceland. I was about to say that I would have to find someone to go with me because I didn’t think this would be a trip I’d want to do alone. To my surprise, my husband said it sounds like a great idea and we should go in 2026!
I know a few people who have been to Iceland and they all loved it. Without fail, they were amazed by the natural beauty and the friendliness of the people. I can’t wait to experience that for myself.
Have you been to Iceland or know someone who has? If yes, can you point them in my direction? I would love to chat up folks who have already been to Iceland and pick their brains. This is truly going to be a once in a lifetime trip and I don’t want to mess it up.
