Today is one day that all cat owners need to be reminded of- it’s Take Your Cat to the Vet Day.
Cats are amazing at hiding when they are in pain and/ or don’t feel good. They can get VERY sick before it’s obvious something is wrong. That’s why it’s important that your cat makes regular trips to the vet. If you have a good baseline it’s much easier to tell when something is wrong.
True story- 22 years ago I took my cat Buddy in for routine shots. We discovered he had lost 2 lbs, which is a LOT for a cat. To be fair, he weight 22 lbs at one time, so he was a BIG cat. Turns out he had developed severe diabetes. Because we caught it pretty early I was able to get 4 more years good years with him.
So even if your cats are 100% inside- which they should be!- regular trips to the vet are important. If it’s been a while, why not make the call and get that appointment scheduled today.
