This day is a bit of a head scratcher. Multiple sites list today as “Wear Your Own Shoes Day” but no one knows where the “holiday” was started, by who, or what their original intent was.
But who cares?
Make this day your own in any way you see fit!
If you have small kids, celebrate if they put their left shoe on their left foot and visa versa. Pull out your favorite shoes you haven’t worn in ages and sport them proudly. Remind yourself that everyone is fighting a battle you don’t know because you haven’t walked in their shoes.
Or, come up with something else completely new that’s all yours!
