Today is National Ag day!
As many of you know, I grew up on a small dairy farm. Many of my friends growing up lived on farms too. It was a great way to grow up. I learned about hard work. I learned about taking care of God’s creatures. I learned about the circle of life. I learned about the weather -although not as much as I could have- I should have paid more attention to my grandfather 🙁
Today many people don’t even KNOW a farmer, let alone are related to any! So today we celebrate Ag. We celebrate where our food comes from. We celebrate those hardworking men and women who work in this industry. We celebrate 4H and the FFA. We celebrate previous generations of farmers and encourage future generations. Because no matter how divided we are on anything else, one thing everyone has in common is that we all need to eat.
