No, that is not a typo. Today is “Have a Bad Day” day.
This holiday is dedicated to all of us who have worked in the service industry. We have been drilled to tell customers to “have a nice day” or something similar. But let’s face it- we don’t mean it all the time. Some people are unreasonable, really dumb, or just a straight up Karen. Wouldn’t it have felt great to tell them to have a BAD day instead?
Of course this is meant in a tongue in cheek way. What would happen if you really MEAN for someone to have a good day but you tell him to have a bad day with a great big smile and a friendly laugh? NOTE- I am not responsible if you try this and it goes terribly!
But if you are the type, maybe it feels better to imagine the satisfaction of telling that Karen to have the day she deserves? No judgement here- I am that person sometimes!
Whichever approach works for you, have at it today!
