It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done one of these so let’s get right to it!
#1 I am allergic to cats. I take Allegra every day year round and I am used to my own cats. But other cats make me sneeze and make my eyes itch like crazy. But I want to meet them all anyway!
#2 I shave my armpits every day all year round. I read years ago that hairy armpits can make your deodorant not work as well. I have a well documented fear of stinking so this is part of my campaign to not stink. And no, my armpits don’t get irritated from it.
#3 I have an irrational fear of tornadoes. Of course they are scary and deserve respect, but I think I see funnel clouds and /or rotating wall clouds almost every time it rains. Hell, sometimes even when it’s not raining I think I see ominous things in dark, low hanging clouds.
#4 I have been playing 2 mobile games- Cover Fashion and Design Home- for at least 7 years. I’m not really into fashion or interior design in my real life, but I love these games for a 2 minute dopamine boost.
#5 When I was in 5th grade I wanted to be a brain surgeon. When I was in kindergarten I wanted to be a ballerina. Insert your own joke here.
#6 I have a difficult time figuring out how long something will take. If I tell you something will take me half an hour I will be done in 12 minutes or still working on it an hour later. I blame genetics for this one since several of my relatives on my dad’s side also have this affliction.
#7 I was salutatorian of my high school graduating class and would have been valedictorian if my school hadn’t consolidated with another one the summer before my senior year. To be fair, there were only 47 kids in my class, and had we not consolidated there would have been 17.
#8 I can get REALLY obsessed with something and have a hard time pivoting. Example- earlier today I discovered that the foundation I use a couple items a month has been discontinued. I still have half a bottle left, and this isn’t even the one I use most days. But I spent at least an hour searching for a suitable replacement. I now have a list to take into my local ULTA to research further and I was VERY close to buying something just because I was so worked up about something I rarely use being discontinued. I am sure this is something that I should have mentioned one of the two times I’ve been in therapy. But I didn’t.
#9 I have been am ULTA Diamond member for the past 4 years which means I spend over $500 a year there. That seems like a lot, but really that’s only $40 a month. What makes this surprising is how little make up I wear, but I do get my hairspray and a lot of my skincare stuff there. This year I may hit Platinum which is $1200 in a year. Don’t tell my husband this one – ha.
#10 Along with skincare and beauty products I have a weakness for pajamas and wrapping paper (especially Christmas wrap). I have more of both than anyone should reasonably have and I keep buying more. I also have WAY too many lip balms but I don’t lose them and finish most of them.
What weird things about you should I know?
