Today is a very important day. It’s Sit with a Stranger Day.
This day was designed to get people out of their bubbles and talking to people they wouldn’t otherwise. I have long said this is important and as 2025 drags on we have more examples every day why.
We are all guilty of living in silos. We gravitate toward people who look like us and think like us. This robs us all of learning from each other and expanding our horizons. Today is a great day to make the active choice to move beyond your preconceived notions and strike up a conversation with someone you normally wouldn’t. You never know how much you might learn.
