Today is Embrace your Geekiness Day.
If there was ever a day after my own heart, it’s this one. While I’ve always embraced my less than entirely normal side, I did shy away from the title “Geek” for awhile. I’m not really sure why.
Then one day, I’m sure thanks in large part to the TV show “The Big Bang Theory”, it became cool to be a geek. And so suddenly “geeks” were everywhere, but many of them were really just 20 somethings in horn-rimmed glasses.
So, here’s to the true geeks. The D&D playing, Monty Python quoting, Mythbuster loving, friends of mine. Love ya!
