Today is National Collect Rocks day.
This day holds a special place in my heart as my Granny Marquardt was a rock enthusiast. Her basement was full of shelves and bags and boxes rocks from all over the United States. They pretty much all looked like to me, but to her each one had a (usually very long) story that she enjoyed telling whenever she had the chance.
So,today is a good day to look down once in a while and see what interesting pebbles you can find. After all, you’ll need a collection of SOMETHING to tell the grandkids about someday!
