In January many of us like to make resolutions.  Maybe we want to lose weight, get more organized, spend more time with family, or one of any other goals.

There isn’t anything inherently wrong with wanting to improve yourself.  We all should want to be the best version of ourselves.  The problem with resolutions is that we tend to set ourselves up for failure.  We set goals that are virtually impossible for us to achieve.  We want to lose 100 lbs in 6 months.  We want to reorganize all our closets to Pinterest perfection.  We want to write the great American novel.  We want to have the perfect family.

Alas, none of us are perfect.  And so we fail to meet these impossible goals.  Then we eat more.  We don’t organize anything.  We don’t write or paint or sew anything.  And that is sad.

So, lets all take it easy on ourselves this year, shall we?  We don’t need any more stress in our lives do we?
