International Day of Tolerance

Today should be a no brainer, but alas, for too many it is not.  Today is International Day of Tolerance.

Our planet- and our nation- are home to thousands of different cultures/ ethnicities/ skin tones.  Today we celebrate our differences and honor everyone’s right as a human being to dress, love, worship and live as they see fit.  Today we acknowledge that many- in fact MOST- people don’t celebrate the same holidays we do, or celebrate them same way we do.  Today we honor the art of all people- be that painting, song, body modification, or whatever form it takes.

And if we can do it for one day, can we do it for two days?  For a month?  For a year?

I’d like to think we can.
