Today is one for the carnivores- it’s National Prime Rib day!
Full disclosure- prime rib is not a personal favorite of mine. It’s just overpriced roast beef to me. I’d rather have a ribeye any day. BUT, it IS a big favorite of my dear husband Pat, so I feel it’s only right to mark this day for my favorite person.
Fun fact- prime rib is not a cut of meat. It’s a cooking/ preparation method and can be made with several different cuts of beef, the most popular being standing rib roast. It is normally seared at high heat for a short time, then finished low and slow over much lower heat.
And now I’m hungry.
