I feel like this holiday should be in the fall, but today is Buy a Musical Instrument Day.
I am very fortunate that I grew up in a family that values music and playing instruments. I was gifted my clarinet when I was in high school and after my car it’s the most expensive thing I own. It’s the first inanimate object I would grab if my house was on fire. I’m not kidding when I say band saved my life in high school. My clarinet is very precious to me.
But maybe you didn’t grow up in a family that prioritized music. Today is the day to get in on the fun. Even if it’s just a harmonica or a recorder, it’s never too late to add the joy of playing music to your life. You won’t regret it- promise!
