Did you know that tortilla chips are a relatively new invention? The first documented sale of tortilla chips was in the 1940s as a way to repurpose misshapen tortillas that could not be sold at the El Zarape Tortilla Factory in Los Angeles.
Today it’s almost impossible to think about salsa or guacamole without tortilla chips. And why would you? They are delicious. And if that wasn’t good enough, there are all kinds of flavored chips- like Doritos and Takis- you can enjoy too.
So no matter how you chose to celebrate, this is one holiday you shouldn’t let pass you by!
